Chris has worked as an organisational psychologist/consultant since 1997. He spent his early career in Human Resource Management working firstly for London Transport and then Allied Lyons. This was followed by six years as a research fellow at both the University of Nottingham and Birbeck College, during which time he was awarded his PhD. He is a past chair of the Occupational Section of the British Psychological society and a visiting lecturer at the University of Nottingham.

To work with teams and individuals to help them recognise and develop their skills and contribution to the organisation.
What is your greatest professional achievement?
Contributing to a successful merger between two large and successful insurance companies by really focusing on the culture.
What is your favourite professional book, publication or article and why?
‘What Got You Here Won’t Get You There’ by Marshall Goldsmith. This book identifies some of the problems people have when they want to move to the next level. A lot of it seems to be common sense but sometimes that’s the hardest thing to see.
