ChamberSkills: Commercial Awareness
Our Aims
To keep managers focused on commercial goals and enable them to understand what they are competing with for time and resources. We aim to encourage a forward thinking approach to the needs of the organisation. We aim to prepare managers for the types of change that may occur. We will give the attendees tools that help them to stay close to their customers, internal and external and this closeness will help them plan for the future.
Objectives
At the end of the training session delegates will have:
- Listed the commercial goals of the organisation;
- Described how they balance conflicting needs;
- Demonstrated making a case for expenditure;
- Outlined how to keep the organisations’ vision alive on a daily basis;
- Practised ways to keep staff thinking; and,
- Demonstrated customer care techniques.
